We are seeking to grow our focus and investment on major sporting events, with a role working closely with the Athletes Strategic Partner Manager to optimize how our Athlete partners leverage the platform and tools available to them with a particular focus on the major Global and Regional sporting events that happen in 2020. This role works directly with Strategic Partner Managers, Data Analysts, Product Managers, Engineers, Operations and other internal partners to ensure an optimal experience for partners on the platform before, during and post-event

The Partnerships team is the external arm of the company and works with the world's largest and most exciting organizations across the full suite of Facebook Inc. products.


  • Lead the XFN coordination of internal stakeholders for the athlete section of Global and Regional tentpole events in EMEA
  • Expertly guide Athletes and their teams in best practice usage of our platforms, recommending appropriate tools and approaches where relevant
  • Lead new product onboarding with managed partners; supporting vertical analyst in identification of partners with appropriate market fit, outreach and onboarding process
  • Lead day to day operational support for partners and serve as operational lead/ point of contact for tentpole events in all athlete related matters
  • Pro-actively track, analyze and communicate quantitative and qualitative metrics with managed partners
  • Provide on-the-ground support at tentpole events where relevant
  • Drive partner education through outreach and attendance at targeted and scaled educational events
  • Support partner engagement framework; leading regular calls with partners and preparing analysis and guidance documentation
  • Co-own Athlete goals and strategy with Athlete SPM, supporting further development and adjustment over time


Skills :

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, or account/project management within the sports industry
  • Significant understanding of the sporting landscape; specifically the Athletes and Agency ecosystem
  • Experience working with sports social channels, platforms and publishing ecosystem
  • Experience using data and analysis to create and support business narratives
  • Experience working collaboratively both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with multitasking, prioritisation, working on different projects and with different partners simultaneously
  • Experience with current FB insight platforms
  • Ability to work both independently, and as a core member of a team
  • Able to travel at short notice
  • Pro-active attitude towards solving problems and finding solutions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in, or with, an athlete's team or affiliated agency
