About the opportunity

The Director Marketing, PR and Digital France & Africa will devise and implement the Marketing, Digital and PR strategy across the WarnerMedia Networks' General Entertainment (GE) portfolio in France & Africa to ensure local relevancy of the brands and businesses. They will work closely with Head of Channels to define long term strategic plans and tactics for GE brands.

The Daily

  • Build yearly planned communication initiatives in accordance with overall strategy and ensure consistency towards all departments
  • Implement marketing and communication plans in all territories
  • Ensure that all strategies support engagement, audiences, traffic and commercial initiatives, determining which initiative works better for channel brands across different platforms
  • Responsible for MKT, Digital, PR budget management
  • Lead the Marketing, Digital, PR teams in the different territories coordinating activities and ensuring they work together effectively towards common goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and internal WarnerMedia teams

The Essentials

  • Extensive experience in brand development and marketing, preferably within the media sector
  • Successful track record in digital engagement initiatives, including social media campaigns and digital advertising
  • Experience of managing and leading a team, preferably across multiple territories (management of a team of 10 people)
  • International experience, including a knowledge of European media landscape
  • Track record of marketing across multiple platforms, TV, mobile, online, print and media
  • Experience of managing agencies and media buying
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven relationship building skills
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines and across multiple locations
  • Awareness of market trends and relevant technologies in traditional and new media
  • Entrepreneurial in approach
  • Team orientated with a flexible approach
  • Self-starter with good organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively under time pressure
  • Able to manage a heavy workload and successfully see projects/tasks through to completion
  • Fluent in English
